Up to 300ft away can receive instant impact gravities (G's) and impact length (msec). Store up to 164 impacts, impact length and date/time right on the sensor. Sudden Impact is a Patent Pending Sensor designed to be used in all contact sports or activities. It contains a Microcontroller (MCU) that will measure, store and wirelessly transmit impact information in real time. Sudden Impact measures the amount of G-force from an impact, as well as the duration of the impact in milliseconds, there is one accelerometer sensor for sampling at millisecond speed to record the impact readings. Date and Time of each impact are also stored.

Up to 164 measurements of impact data can be maintained on the sensor. All this can be stored or wirelessly transmitted to a PC/Laptop or Android Smartphone device using the Sudden Impact software. Sudden Impact utilizes the Industry standard Bluetooth Class 1 SPP protocol. Up to 300+ ft in open space. An internal rechargeable lithium battery is used for power.

The sensor can be wirelessly programmed in real-time by a PC/Laptop/Android Smartphone device. Numerous options are available to:

Set capture mode, 1. store on sensor 2. store on sensor and transmit 3. transmit only

Set G-force threshold. Determines when impact G-force is captured. Receive instant notification if an impact exceeds a pre-programmed threshold!

Set Max. impact G-force, then a warning is issued. Can also program to only transmit if this is reached.

Set in Msec. time when to measure the next impact.

Numerous other setting are also available.
The sensor is in a static shield bag measuring .75" by 1.5". This provides a very light and flexible package to place inside a helmet. A 400mAh 3.7V rechargeable battery is used for power. A USB cord that connects between your PC/Laptop and battery is used for charging and is included.
  • Sudden Impact is extremely sensitive in the Frontal Impact Zone. Up to 250+ G's can be measured and recorded in this zone. Less sensitive measurements are recorded on either side of this zone. Refer to the football helmet image on the right for force direction and sensor placement (sensor should be placed on the inside of the helmet).
